Three Medium Members Walk Into A Bar
You have not heard that one
Three Medium members from the same city decided to meet at a bar to discuss how to attract more eyeballs and read hours. The idea was to share strategies and tactics to see what worked.
Strength in unity and all that. They met at an unnamed bar of an unnamed city of an unnamed country. We will keep those confidential for their privacy.
They ordered their drinks and started chatting. We will call them X, Y and Z.
“So? Spit it out!” X said.
“You go first.” Z said.
“So much for trust and co-operation. Fine, I’ll start.” Y said.
“My game plan is to be as honest and transparent as possible. I even post screenshots of my views and reads from time to time.”
X and Z looked at Y like they saw a ghost.
“Are you stupid Y? This does not work!” X said.
“I agree, it doesn’t. You need to appear authentic, not be one. And no-one gives a rat’s ass about your views. They only care whether you make more money than them or not.” Z said.
